The key with turnips is to put flavour in :) I actually like the taste of turnips, but like potatoes they are very good at absorbing flavours. So I normally glaze them (braise or roast slowly in butter or oil with a splash of stock or orange juice, and some thyme or other appropriate herb).</description>
